America’s First Daughter

The story of Thomas Jefferson and his daughter are remarkably told in this novel.  A true treasure of a book.  The novel draws from thousands of letters and original sources and is told from the viewpoint of his beloved daughter, Patsy (Martha Jefferson Randolph).  The story of our country and Mr. Jefferson’s role in it is fascinating.  The story of his oldest daughter is told in such a way that we learn of the life of our famous forefather and his family.  We learn about Patsy’s life and her struggles.  Monticello, the treasure home, is beautifully described and makes one want to visit.  Loved this book!
